For one night only fans of the Lord of the Rings are called on a special quest – to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of THE LORD OF THE RINGS at Cinestudio. If you missed it on the big screen the first time around (or weren’t born yet….) now is your chance, with the release of a gorgeous 4K remastering overseen by director Peter Jackson. The tranquility of Middle-earth is threatened as the Dark Lord Sauron seeks the One Ring that will give him a dangerous power. The Ring, however, has found its way to the young hobbit Frodo Baggins. When he discovers its malevolent significance, Frodo and eight compadres (Fellowship of the Ring) begin their journey to Mount Doom in the land of Mordor, the only place where the Ring can be destroyed. To paraphrase what C.S. Lewis said about Tolkien’s book, “Here are beauties that pierce like swords or burn like cold iron; here is a [film] that will break your heart.”
