The Batman, as part of Move-In Weekend, offers free admission to Trinity students, faculty and staff. Every new generation gets its own reboot of Batman, the mysterious superhero without superpowers, who battles evil-doers in Gotham City. In 2022, it’s Robert Pattinson (The Twilight Saga, The Lighthouse, Tenet) who relies more on his superior detecting skills than any macho posturing. The rest of the cast also brings a fresh take to DC world with Zoe Kravitz playing the morally ambiguous Catwoman, and Paul Dano (Little Miss Sunshine, There Will Be Blood) as the Riddler, a remorseless serial killer with more than a little grudge against the family of Batman’s alter–ego, the Bruces. While their epic battles bring destruction to Gotham City and fear to its populace, Batman’s refusal to let the great city be crushed inspires hope.
