The Divide

Lesbian couple Raphaëlle (“Raf”) and Julie are on the verge of breaking up when Raf ends up in the emergency room with a broken elbow. But it’s not just Raf’s elbow that’s broken; it’s all of France, which is beset with political and social unrest. In this taut drama that feels like a cross between an action-packed episode of ER and social history-in-the making, the hospital becomes a gathering place for a wide range of characters from all walks of life.
