OUT FILM CT is proud to present Bros, November’s Queer Thursday’s selection, fresh from its premiere at the 2022 Toronto Film Festival! Bros is a groundbreaking romantic comedy with wide appeal, that brings a distinctly different vibe than straight Hollywood rom coms from Bridesmaids to Knocked Up – both produced, as is Bros, by Judd Apatow. The trailblazing doesn’t stop there: Bros is the first big studio movie to have almost all of its characters – straight or gay – played by LGBTQ actors. Billy Eichner stars as a podcaster/curator of a museum of LGBTQ history in NYC, who finds that grindr is less stressful than the work of making a more lasting relationship. However, his insecurities begin to crumble when he gets to know a hot trusts and estates lawyer with doubts of his own (Luke MacFarlane).

“Pop-culture savvy, sexy, sweet, and smart… with a merciless, irresistible wit.” – Jane Schoettle, Toronto Film Festival program.
