Over the course of a hot summer day in Los Angeles, the lives of 25 young people intersect in clever and surprising ways. A skating guitarist, a tagger, two wannabe rappers, an exasperated fast-food worker, and a limo driver all weave in and out of each other’s stories. Through poetry that is sometimes soulful and sometimes painful, they express life, love, heartache, family, home, hope and fear. One of them just wants to find someplace that still serves good cheeseburgers.

Opens with short film: APRIL’S LAST MEMORIES, (Los últimos recuerdos de Abril) directed by Nancy Cruz Orozco. Camila and April are best friends who grew up together in a small town on the coast, and there´s an obvious and uncomfortable attraction between them. When April’s family moves to the city, neither one knows how to say goodbye to the person they love.
